What is Lipsy Loo Learning?
Lipsy Loo Learning is an evidence-backed, play-based oral language and early literacy program designed for children in the year before school. Designed by a Speech Pathologist, the program models strategies and activities to help support the most common language targets identified in preschoolers.  The engaging modelled lessons are designed to be watched on the floor with the children - educators 'walk alongside' a Speech Pathologist while the children laugh and learn.

Who is the program designed for?
The program is designed for preschool and kindergarten children (3.5–5 years), educators working in early learning settings, and services supporting diverse language needs.  It is also suitable for children who have just started their first year of formal schooling, but have delayed language and phonological awareness skills.

Who created Lipsy Loo Learning?
The program was created by Laura Green, a Speech Pathologist with extensive experience working alongside ECTs in early childhood education settings.

How is the program delivered?
The program is delivered online through pre-recorded video lessons that children watch with their educator.  The videos allow the educator to see strategies in action. An explanation of the importance of each language and literacy target is provided, as well as additional 'Learning Experiences' and ready-to-go activities, so educators can intentionally support children's language and literacy throughout the day.

How long are the videos?
Videos are generally 15-25 minutes long - however they are broken into 5-10 minute sections so can fit easily into group time or daily routines.  We know the daily program looks different at everyday service - so we are always happy to discuss with your team the best way to build the lessons and activities into your day.

Do educators need to teach during the videos?
No. The videos are modelled lessons that educators watch alongside children, with no pressure to perform or lead. We do however encourage the educators to pause the video and check-in with the children and have a go at trying some of the strategies. 

How much time does the program take each week?
Most services watch 1–2 videos per week and embed strategies naturally throughout the day.  

Can we use the program flexibly?
Yes. The program is flexible and adapts to routines, mixed abilities, and staffing needs.

Do we need special equipment?
A screen and internet access are all that’s needed.

Is the program suitable for children with additional needs?
Yes. The program supports children with language delays, speech sound difficulties, and attention or listening challenges.

Will it work in mixed-ability classrooms?
Yes. The program supports whole-group learning with easy opportunities for extension.

Is the program evidence-backed?
Yes. The strategies shared within the program are grounded in speech pathology research and best practice. The delivery is also in line with best practice for staff development - deliver in small chunks, over time, with opportunities for staff to implement the strategies practically between sessions. 

Does the program align with EYLF v2.0?
Yes. It aligns strongly with EYLF v2.0, particularly Outcome 5 and intentional teaching through play.

Can we use funding to purchase the program?
Yes. Many services use their Kindy Uplift (QLD) or School Readiness Funding (SRF - VIC) to purchase the program. The program also meets the criteria for Category 2 - Health and Development Participation (HDP) Grant Program (NSW).

How do we access the program after purchase?
Services receive immediate online access and onboarding instructions.

Yes. The program is designed for whole-team use.

What support is available?
We provide onboarding resources, email support, and our speech pathologist is happy to chat with you over zoom if you need additional support to implement the program.

What happens after the program ends?After the 12 months, services will receive an email asking if they would like to renew access to updated content at a reduced rate.
